Crag Lough

Crag Lough
£235
Image size: 560mm x 760mm

I drew Crag Lough, from a summit along Hadrian‘s Wall in the North of England, on 29 May 2019.

I‘d set out westwards from Housesteads Roman Fort, looking for a strong image of Hadrian‘s Wall receding into the distance over successively distant hills. After a couple of miles‘ walking, this view struck me, with Hadrian‘s Wall cutting across the foreground, down to the foot of the lake called Crag Lough before climbing up the wooded escarpment up its southern edge, and along to Steel Rigg, in the background of my drawing. A cold day‘s drawing, in that Northern British wind, with cold fingers. But probably not as cold as the fingers on the hands that built this wall nearly 2,000 years ago.

Crag Lough is drawn on 300gsm heavily textured watercolour paper that measures 560mm x 760mm. The edges of the photograph of this picture match exactly the edges of the paper on which it is drawn.

Crag Lough is a unique and original piece of art. It is not a print, and so is not one of many in an edition.

The price shown includes postage and packing for delivery to a UK address. Every drawing dispatched is wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and securely packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube, and delivered to the address required by post via Royal Mail or Parcel Force (depending on the size of the drawing) and signed for upon delivery.

If you would like a drawing delivered to an address outside the UK, please let me know when ordering and I will investigate whether you need to pay anything extra to cover the increased postage price.
